Text editing & input- WYSIWYG basics
WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). Formatting text in a text field, you know those little bold, bullet and blockquote buttons? This is a real basic, how-to get those buttons over text fields for your end users.

One of the first questions you may wonder as a new user of Drupal: where are the text editing buttons?! So your users can do things like this or this or this, or bullets, quotes, etc.
I get asked this alot from new Drupal users, and I just want to cover it in a nut-shell. Really basic, simple, something you can do right away. Break out your demo site, and we can try it right in the session in pair-work (ever hear of pair-programming?). A little less talk, a little more action.
We'll also see some tips and additional modules to make it less painful (e.g., hide those nasty "input options"), or to simplify the options for your needs.
Caveat emptor: This session is gentle, for beginners. This is not comprehensive- I'm not going to show everyway to do it. I'm going to show one way, in the interests of time.
Pre-requisite: a local install of Drupal on your computer for demoing. (we need a sandbox to play in)
